Elijah Langhorne is a business owner, military veteran, and leader with an operations, logistics, and organizational development background. After completing his service as a Military Police Officer in the United States Air Force, Elijah pursued higher education and earned degrees in business and organizational leadership. Today, he owns and operates Langhorne Electrical & Contracting, LLC, which offers top-quality general contracting solutions to residential and commercial clients.

Early Life and Education

Elijah Langhorne was born in Beaumont, Texas, on September 23, 1983. After completing high school, he began working in the trades. He continued his education at the Community College of the Air Force, earning an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice in 2011. Following this, he pursued education at Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership in 2022. Motivated by his drive for excellence, Eljah then studied for his Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the same university, completing the program in 2024.

Service in the United States Air Force

In 2009, Elijah joined the United States Air Force, marking a remarkable chapter of his life as a Military Police Officer. During his seven-year tenure, he served at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. His responsibilities included patrols, ensuring base security, and overseeing emergency response operations. He worked to protect assets valued at over $15 billion and managed the largest General Services Administration (GSA) vehicle fleet at Tinker AFB.

Elijah was also deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan for OIF and OEF, where he led troops in combat zones and contributed to counterinsurgency efforts. Beyond his operational duties, Elijah took on additional roles, such as Squadron Traner and Safety Officer, where he developed and implemented training programs to prepare his colleagues for various scenarios.

Founding Langhorne Electrical & Contracting, LLC

After leaving the Air Force in 2018, Elijah Langhorne explored new opportunities to leverage his extensive skills and experiences. In March 2022, he established Langhorne Electrical & Contracting LLC (LEC), headquartered in Leesville, Louisiana. The business quickly earned a reputation for delivering high-quality services and maintaining a customer-centric approach. The company specializes in electrical and general contracting and caters to residential and commercial clients.

His time in the Air Force also earned him the Lt. Joseph Helton Leadership Award and the 2011 Air Force Materiel Command Outstanding Support Staff Airman MAJCOM-level award.

He is the founder of the Small Business Christian Alliance (SBCA), an organization that equips entrepreneurs with tools and strategies for success. He also sponsors a Job Skills Workshop for underserved minority high school students in DeRidder, Louisiana, a program he launched three months ago. Additionally, Elijah supports outreach ministries through his church, enabling him to serve his faith and community simultaneously.

Mighty Oaks and Advocacy for Veterans

Elijah’s journey through military service left him with an understanding of the challenges faced by veterans, including the effects of PTSD. In 2023, he attended a program with Mighty Oaks, a nonprofit organization that helps veterans and first responders heal from trauma. Inspired by his own experience, Elijah became a volunteer and facilitator with Mighty Oaks, using his story to minister to others and help them find hope and healing.

Personal Life and Hobbies

Elijah’s personal life is rooted in his love for the outdoors and personal growth. He enjoys camping and hiking because they help him connect with nature and recharge his spirit. Elijah is also an avid reader and particularly loves C. S. Lewis and The Lord of the Rings. He also enjoys gardening and teaching in small groups to share his knowledge and experience with others.
